We entered the cave and promptly got attacked by three wolves but easily defended ourselves. Ari uses dancing lights to illuminate the passageways while Yrldyn and Glittr use their dark vision to see into the dark of the cave. We found a pile of fresh garbage and a natural chimney in the back of the cave. Caulkin attempted to climb the chimney, fell to his death, and was revived by Yrdlyn.
After Caulkin was revived, we ventured further into the cave, following a river and passing under a bridge where a goblin stood guard. Near the waterfall, another fight ensued and we managed to fend off additional goblins hiding further in the cave. We continue to explore the cave, discovering a cavern with other goblins and one that held a prisoner hostage. The leader goblin pushes a humanoid over a cliff only to be caught by Glittr. A fight ensues with our team claiming victory.
We recognize the human as Sildar, Gundren’s original companion and bodyguard. He relays to us that he overhead goblins talking about Cragmar’s Castle and The Black Spider.
We examined the room we were attacked in, discovered additional loot, and we discovered a Blue Lion Crest on all of the chests, so we took one chest with us as proof. Sildar recognizes the blue lion's symbol. It is the Lion Shield Coster. The Lionshield Coster is a merchant company from the City of Yartar, which is further east from here.
We leave the cave, load up our cart, and continue our journey to Phandalin.
Along the way, we set up camp for the night, share stories and become closer as a group. The next morning, we take off and finally reach and hear about the legend of Wave Echo Cave from Sildar. We eventually made our way to Phandalin without any other incidents.
