WELCOME TO THE GROUP, RUSTY CYCLOPS!

• We wake up refreshed and head to a Shrine of the Raven Queen per Pearl’s request before we head out of town. Pearl feels like she has not been able to connect as well to the Raven Queen as of late. She players with her jade friendship necklace as she wishes for the Raven Queen to make contact with her. On the back wall of the shrine, there are carvings fwords on the wall, highlighting words that the Raven Queen stands for. Pearl hears the cawing of Ravens in the distance and feels heard in that moment.

• We meet with Harshnag and Räyûvel.

• Quest: Heard North with Harshnag and visit The Oracle:

  • Payout: There is a special floor on the top of the Moon Gleam Tower that the Harpers typically have access to, but we would get access to it.

• Räyûvel’s Personal Quest:

  • Payout: 3 Regular health potions up front, 4 vials of Holy Water

  • Quest: They have an acquaintance who is imprisoned just due north of Zymorven Hall, along the Moon Wood. He needs a barrier tended to.

  • Spring the holy water outside of the prisoner’s cell. There will be a singular person trapped along the Moon Wood who is held by a spell that Räyûvel placed on them. They will fill our ears with lies, so pay them no mind.

• We begin our journey north. We take about 2 days to reach Zymorven Hall. It is a very small city with a few watch towers. There is a castle in the city as well, but it is clear there is not much access to it. This is the last city on our way north for a while.

  • Brylywnn leads the group as we head north. It is relatively uneventful.

  • RC shares more about his life. He shares that his kind often falls in servitude of chromatic dragons. The leader of his clan changed this up, where they fled south. They lived in the Mere of Dead Men in solutide for a while. When he came of age he went out and explored, eventually moving back home and had a few kids. After about 10 years later a cult moved in, who brought in these awful frog and slime-like creatures, enslaving his people. 

  • The group which Räyûvel was part of came in and save his people. They are now rebuilding their camp and settlement.

• As we carry on, we spot a single person standing atop a 60 foot glowing rune as we round the corner. He is about 30 feet away from us off the trail as we come around the corner. We stir up a plan to sprinkle the holy water around the imprisoned person

  • Once we get within 15 feet of the creature who begins to speak and tempt us with sly and cryptic speech. He suggests that he is there more to his story than we were told. He admits that he didn’t follow Selune, that things were taken from him.

  • He says that his name is Selvek.  Glittr attempts to cast Zone of Truth but it is blocked by the rune. RC uses Primal Truth and knows that whatever type of creature the elf is, is within 1 mile of our current location.

  • Selvek states that Räyûvel has trapped him for not believing in Selune and thinking her power is the only way to solve problems. He believes he is being held in a Magic Circle spell for years. He shares that he and Räyûvel were companions once long ago who fell sway to The Cult of the Dragon’s whims, but Räyûvel was able to save him. “You’ll never know what lies above Menzoberranzan.” As she leaves the circle, Brylywnn feels an assault try to hit her mind.

• We now head West and come to a river, insuring that we are going the right direction. After another day we come to a fork in the river. We continue Northwest and make it to the Fell Pass.

  • As we journey forward, Brylywnn thinks back to what the imprisoned Elf said to her about there being goodness within in and Glittr. She resonates with his saying that he was once good and was exposed to evil based on the way in which she was exposed to evil through the Evil Wizard. But, she has been able to access magi and power through The Weave, and she levels up!

• We carry onward and Harshnag confirms some information we share with him of our journey thus far. As we continue North, RC takes over leading the group and we need to don our winter garb as the temperature drops.

  • Harshnag relays that it has taken about 2 weeks to reach as far as we have and he is unsure how much longer it will take up to reach the All-Father.

• We journey through the Fell Pass and continue NW. Glittr asks why the giants would have established a temple so far north. Harshnag shares that it is widely unknown but it may be to keep people away, or create almost a pilgrimage for people. 

• On the 5th day we heard a low growl coming from the woods off to the side of us, almost as if it has been following us. As we move forward, Caulkin is attacked by a large white creature from behind as we enter a battle

• We end the session mid-battle, as we hear roars from the distance as reinforcements come.
