The town of Longsaddle is run by the Harpells, a family of wizards. In that town they have the Gambling Golem Festival. This town is to the south along the Long Road. As we get ready to leave, we see people fast walking off the street with a goblin body which looks smashed in the middle of the street. Along the city walls we see people running and movement. As we examine the crushed goblin body, another body flies out of the area and nearly hits the Caulkin. Another goblin falls near Pearl who can see that the goblins are being launched from over the wall. A woman tells Caulkin that this happens all the time.
Off to the west of the city, we see a hoard of hobgoblins, ogres, a horde of goblins, and a frost giant. Through Thava, Pearl gets the sense that this is not an uncommon occurrence for this town. Glittr asks a guard on the western wall if they need help and he declines. Next door to the bar, Brylwynn hears muffled steel on steel in the stables. Ari and Caulkin approach the stable and they uncover tons of bugbears and a dwarf inside.
As one of the bugbears dies it says “there was only supposed to be one of him.” Larg, the dwarf who we saw last night at the bar, was in the stable and walked up to us and said thank you. He says that the bugbears said he was coming with them. Larg shares that he lived in Mirabar before moving to Xantharl’s Keep. He used to be an Axe of Mirabar, a defender.
As we drink, we realize that the bugbears snuck into the town during the ruckus of the fight.
As we talk to Larg, we get a feeling that he isn’t telling us everything. Ari casts Suggestion on him. He believes there is a bounty over his head. Glittr tackles him and we bring him over to an open table where we cast spells on him to get him to talk. Glittr ties his hands up so he cannot escape.

Fae and Pearl agreed they were going to break their family’s tradition. Their father was murdered by the PoF. Her mother gave her up as a sacrifice. Fae was destined to be a Cleric of Orale and she denied these gifts.
Biggest concerns: He (PoF) will turn Fae into something even worse or kill our party as a whole
Summary: Pearl and Fae were together, they went their own separate ways under the same umbrellas of the PoF, and Fae chose a darker path.
